About Dr. Jennipher E. Harris
Dr. Harris was born and raised in Oceanside, California and earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Louis Obispo.
She completed a Masters degree in Animal Science with a concentration in Animal Behavior at the University of California, Davis. She also received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis.
Dr. Harris then completed an internship in emergency medicine, general medicine, and surgery at the VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center in San Diego, California. She completed a residency in small animal surgery at California Veterinary Specialists in San Diego, California.
Dr. Harris has clinical interests in surgical oncology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, fracture repair, and wound management.
About surgical technician Danena Medrano, RVT
Danena Medrano was born in San Diego and raised in Oceanside, California. She completed 2 years of general studies at Palomar College and began her veterinary career as a kennel and technician assistant in general practice. She worked as an emergency technician for North County Emergency Clinic from 1989-2000. In 2000, North County became California Veterinary Specialists. During that time Danena trained as a human surgical technician, a sterile processing technician, and an operating room instrument technician at Tri City Hospital. She continued her passion for veterinary medicine in the specialty hospital environment as an internal medicine and surgical technician. Danena now uses her surgical technician expertise for Premier Veterinary Surgery, Inc.
